“National zucchini acreage (3,738 ha) for 2022 is estimated to be down 12% from the previous season but up 2% from the 2017-2021 average.”
“National zucchini production should reach 166,000 tons, down 2% year-over-year but up 7% from the average of the past five seasons. The forecasted harvests are notably estimated to be down in the Languedoc-Roussillon (-23%) and Rhône-Alpes (-6%) regions due to a decline in surface areas or drought conditions. In contrast, the harvest in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the leading production region, is estimated to be slightly up (+1%).”
