The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture. Present at the event was Sheikh Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.

The event’s patron and the attendees were briefed on the project’s different phases and the production of saplings and citrus plants in the greenhouses.

Dr. Hamdan Salim Al Wahaibi, Director General for Agricultural and Livestock Research, underscored the importance of the citruses medical patent program in producing disease-free citrus saplings and reducing economic losses incurred by farmers.
