Since the beginning of June, the Caucasian Interregional Directorate of the Rosselkhoznadzor banned around 530.6 tons of imported crop products from Azerbaijan into Russia.

According to Interfax-Azerbaijan,  roughly 30 consignments from Azerbaijan were not allowed into Russia. Generally, this is over 320.9 tons of tomatoes, 99.8 tons of potatoes, and 109.9 tons of cherries.

These infected crop products ended up in the temporary storage warehouse of YuTT VIADUK.

Dagestan department of the Federal State Budgetary Institution VNIIKR confirmed the detection of harmful objects in crops. For instance, quarantine objects such as the South American tomato moth (Tuta absoluta Povolny), potato moth (Phthorimaea operculella (Zeller), and eastern codling moth (Grapholitha molesta). Experts have determined to return crops to Azerbaijan.
